LG 55QNED70BLA

The LG 55QNED70BLA and Samsung 55M70HAULXL are 55-inch 4K TVs with Mini LED display technology, but they offer different strengths for home entertainment. The LG features a 20W sound system with Dolby Atmos, three HDMI 2.1 ports, and webOS 26 with an AI Magic Remote. Samsung counters with a higher-rated 30W audio output, HDR10+ support, and its Tizen smart TV platform. Both include Filmmaker Mode and gaming features such as Auto Low Latency Mode and VRR. Your choice depends on whether you prioritize LG's connectivity and immersive audio formats or Samsung's stronger speaker output and HDR10+ support.

Verdict

The LG 55QNED70BLA is a strong choice for users who want Dolby Atmos support, HDMI 2.1 connectivity, and a feature-rich smart TV experience with webOS 26. The Samsung 55M70HAULXL is worth considering if you prefer 30W speakers, HDR10+ support, and Tizen's smart features. Samsung lists a 120Hz motion rate, but its specifications mention DLG 120Hz and do not establish native 120Hz panel performance. LG is the more clearly specified option for HDMI 2.1 gaming connectivity, while the better overall purchase depends on pricing and your viewing priorities.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which TV is better for gaming?

The LG 55QNED70BLA is a strong choice for HDMI 2.1 connectivity, with three HDMI 2.1 ports, ALLM, and VRR up to 60Hz. Samsung also supports ALLM and VRR, but its listed HDMI ports are HDMI 2.0. Check the supported gaming resolution and refresh rate before buying.

Does the LG 55QNED70BLA support Dolby Atmos?

Yes. The LG 55QNED70BLA supports Dolby Atmos and includes a 20W, 2.0-channel speaker system. Its WOW Orchestra feature can also coordinate compatible LG TV speakers and soundbars.

Which TV has better sound quality?

The Samsung 55M70HAULXL has a higher stated speaker output of 30W compared with LG's 20W. LG, however, supports Dolby Atmos and AI Sound Pro virtual surround processing. Actual sound quality depends on tuning, room acoustics, and content, so wattage alone does not determine the winner.

Does the Samsung 55M70HAULXL support HDR10+?

Yes. Samsung lists HDR10+ support and Mini LED HDR processing. LG lists HDR10 and HLG, along with AI HDR Remastering and Dynamic Tone Mapping. Samsung is the more suitable choice if HDR10+ compatibility is a priority.

Which TV has a higher refresh rate?

Samsung lists a 120Hz motion rate and DLG 120Hz, while LG lists a 60Hz motion rate and VRR up to 60Hz. Samsung's specifications do not confirm a native 120Hz panel, so verify the actual panel refresh rate and supported input modes before purchasing.

Which smart TV platform is better, webOS or Tizen?

LG's webOS 26 offers Google Cast, Apple AirPlay, an AI Magic Remote, and LG ThinQ integration. Samsung's Tizen platform includes Bixby, Apple AirPlay, SmartThings-related features, and Samsung TV Plus. Both provide useful smart features, so the better choice depends on your preferred ecosystem and available apps.
